Milk it for all it’s worth

Of all the drinks consumed worldwide, with more than 10% of the beverage market, milk comes in at 3rd place. But it’s a highly controversial topic. Being a primary source of calcium and vitamin D, gives it a mark in the pros column. Also containing significant amounts of protein, potassium, vitamins A+b12, riboflavin, niacin and phosphorus, makes milk good for us, but it is very hard to make. In fact, cows in large numbers take quite a heavy toll on the planet. A satiated dairy cow can produce ~120lbs of manure a day, plus cows accounts for ~28% of global emissions of methane, a greenhouse gas.
